So as I’ve
vowed to keep our blog up to date, but yet I’ve found myself ...well,
slacking. We’ve had a few more milestones in the last few months.
Marley said her first word at 14 months, “ball”. Soon after was
“apple”. She now says apple for just about everything. She also signs
for some things, like “more” and “all done”, but he definitely has a
bigger vocabulary than what she can say out loud. She has words that
sound like “clock”, “downstairs”, “Hawkeye”, and “Beatles”. She also
picked up “Da Da” and “Pa Pa” just this last weekend, but still working
on “Mama” and more.
She’s very independent as you can see
by the picture. She is very persistent about trying to feed herself.
The pudding incident above happened one daddy/daughter night when I was
not home. She’s gotten walking down and has almost a run now. She also
had her 15 month appointment this past week. She’s in the 21st
percentile for weight coming in at just about 21 lbs and is the 76th
percentile for height at just over 31 inches. It’s hard to tell if that
is all accurate because she is a bit feisty at the doctor’s office.
We are
looking forward to visiting friends and working around the house this
spring break. We may have a night or so at a hotel in town to go
swimming for the first time! Hope you all are doing well!
