Fun Things to do on a Deck

As some of you know, Adam has been traveling a lot this June to get his relationship building out of the way while I'm off work this summer.  As this is vital to a salesman's career (going to golf outings, fancy dinners, Cubs games, etc.), it leaves a lot of time at home with the kids and I.  Thank goodness for grandparents that come to relieve my crankiness, give me a break for a nap now and again, and to play with the kids. Can you tell I'm a little jealous of Adam's travels?

Donovan has been sleeping so much better.  I've failed to post this for several weeks as not to jinx it.  He sleeps from about 8:30 pm at night until 6 am in the morning, waking up just once to eat.  Marley, on the other hand, has been having night terrors and nightmares just about every night.  This happens at all hours of the night, so sometimes with the thunderstorms and Marley, I'm up at 3 am and don't really get a chance to go back to bed.  Last night, however, we had our first solid night of sleep in at least 3 weeks.  Here's hoping for many more.

Although her sleep has been quite disrupted, she been a big helper with DJ and has been doing a great job playing on her own.  I found her one afternoon sitting on the high-top deck chairs (that I didn't know she could climb into), just blowing bubbles.  She had to have her backpack on though, but I'm not quite sure where she thought she was going.
