Back to School?

It is nearly the end of my maternity leave, and I will be heading back to school for 2 weeks.  It is only 9 days of school, however, I am really wishing I would be home with the Donovan for that time.  Both grandma's are going to take turns staying with DJ along with Adam, so hopefully I won't have a melt down leaving him on Tuesday morning.

He is still growing like a weed, weighing in at a whopping 13.5 lbs this week. I checked and Marley didn't quite weigh 11 lbs at her 2 month appointment, let alone at 6 weeks.  He's been a lot of fun this last week smiling and cooing when he is awake.  He loves talking to his sister all the time.  I suspect they will have many conversations in their future.

He's still waking up a few times a night to eat, but stretches out for about 4 hours over midnight which is helping.  We are really hoping for a second, long stretch from 2-6 am sometime soon.  If you are on Facebook at 4 am, chat with us.  One of us is usually up at that time.

We've had lots of visitors over the last couple weeks.  Mee Maw and Paw Paw were here over Mother's Day weekend and stopped by for a short time this past weekend for a short trip.  My family was also here this past weekend to finally celebrate Grandpa Joe's birthday that was earlier in the month.

Marley always asks if Mee Maw and Paw Paw are downstairs when she wakes up and asks to get ice cream daily with Paw Paw.  She also found buddies in Mason and Jacob this past weekend.  She followed them around everywhere all weekend.

We are anxiously awaiting the "Deuce Crew" next weekend with all the little ones in that group as well.  Can't wait!  Wishing you all a Happy Memorial Day weekend next week!
