To The Doctor We Go

Marley had her first road trip out of the house today for her 1 week (almost) doctor visit.  She almost back to her birth weight at 7 lbs. 6 oz (just 2 oz shy) which is really great for just 6 days.  The doctor gave the thumbs up on everything else and made us feel a lot better about feedings and all the other questions we had.

She is such a good baby (knock on wood).  She is actually getting days and nights turned around and letting us sleep for 3 hour stretches at night. 

A few of you asked about how we came up with her name.  Marley is a friend that I knew in 3rd grade and liked the name ever since.  Adam liked it as well, so it became her first name.  We are also fans of Bob Marley, but she isn’t named so much for the dog book and movie coming out Marley and Me.    It is about a naughty golden retriever due out next month.  Alena is after Pa Pa Dean - middle name Allen and a little mix of Grandma Glenda for a feminine twist.  So there is Marley Alena.
