With school starting, we've had a lot of fun days and a lot of crazy days. Since my last post, we've had our daycare close and reopen (yeah!), I started back to school including AIB, we've had several sicknesses, DJ has had many milestones, Marley has been talking up a storm, and much, much more. I'll do my best to recap here.
DJ had is 4 month appointment at the beginning of August. He weighed in at 16 lbs (74th percentile), head circumference was 16 3/4 (56th percentile), and was 26 1/4 inches long (89th percentile). He's growing like a weed! It's almost time for his 6 month appointment in a couple weeks. I promise I will try to update before his year appointment this time.
Since August he has started on baby food. He loves most veggies, only likes fresh bananas, and peas are the worst. You should see his face when he eats them! He is almost able to stay sitting up on his own now without falling over. His favorite pass time right now is playing with his feet and smiling at Marley. He could watch her all day!

Mar finished up her swimming lessons at the beginning of August. Adam and I weren't quite sure the first few days they were worth the money since she screamed and just climbed up Adam the whole time. Over the course of the 2 weeks, she relaxed, and finished the class with flying colors. She loves the water, and now can go under, kick, float on her back, and so much more.
Marley, Adam, Mee Maw and Pa Pa made a trip to the fair. Marley came home with her new friend Dora that hasn't left her side, even now that she is deflated. She also went down the big slide for the first time and loved it!

Hawkeye football is in full swing again. The grandparents are helping out on the weekends so Adam and I can sit in a monsoon to watch the Hawks and watch the greatest comeback in Hawkeye history! Lots of fun so far this season. When I'm around, Marley will say, "Hawkeyes Yeah!", but when Adam is around she'll say "Hawkeyes thhhhpfp!" She loves to tease us though and sometimes say the opposite to us to get a reaction. Stinker!

Miss Marley has come into full on "sass" mode. It amazes Adam and I every day that we can have full conversations with her now. She says so many funny things every day. For example, I was excited to find out that one of my favorite restaurants is now in Des Moines. Me: "There's a Quinton's in Des Moines? Shut the front door!" Marley: "Shut the door? It's shut, Mommy!" Another is, Me: "Go Packers Go!". Marley: "Go Pampers! Go, go Pampers!"
Marley has really missed her friends since her daycare closed down. The kids have been at home with Adam and nanny's from her school most days, so she has been starving for kid interaction. She got to ride in her first Homecoming parade this past week, and we even talked one of her buddies, Payton, from the old daycare into riding with her.
Marley is riding in the wagon with Payton. You have to watch fast.
They are speedy and the kids begging for candy are crazy!

Other than that, we've just been hanging out and enjoying the weather. Hope you all are doing well, and I will try to post more!
